2006 Tooth Trot

Thanks to a wonderful group of BCDS Volunteers, the 2006 Tooth Trot was a great success. The pancakes were delicious, (Thank you Curt Hill and Eric Hodgkins). Once again, Jerilyn Bird, Linda and Craig Thompson did a terrific job with logistics, sponsors, trophies and other donated prizes. Goodbye and best wishes to Linda and Craig. Thanks for all you did over the past several years to make the Tooth Trot a great success.
Volunteers Needed for Adult BCHD Clinic

Dentists are needed to assist the Brevard County Health Department Dental unit with adult care. Please volunteer one day a year for this worthy cause. For more information, contact clinic Director Ms. Chris Tullos at 637-3400 or 383-2784.
More Dentist Volunteers Needed for Head Start Screening

The Child Care Association of Brevard is seeking volunteer dentists to provide early intervention screenings. Examinations take place in local day care centers and transportation may be provided. The Child Care Association makes referrals for dental care based on the preliminary evaluations. Children are then referred to their own local dentist. When necessary a voucher program or Medicaid can be activated to pay for services. This program is very successful and benefits all of us.
